ID Released After Long Island Woman Found Dead Inside Car

The identity has been released of a woman who was found dead inside a car on Long Island when officials responded to a report of a fire.

Police and fire officials in Riverhead responded around 10:30 p.m., Tuesday, March 8 to the driveway of the home at 2 Sebastian Drive, where they found the vehicle fully engulfed in flames, said the Riverhead Police.

A preliminary investigation indicates that the incident was non-criminal in nature, said police.

The woman has been tentatively identified as 49-year-old Kimberly Pawlowski, the resident at that address, said  Riverhead Police.    

The fire was extinguished by Riverhead Fire Department.

The investigation is ongoing at this time and anyone with any information is requested to contact the Riverhead Police Department at 631-727-4500.
